Kingdom Hearts question: Any tips on how to get Mystery Goo this way?

I think the easiest way to get Mystery Goo is to kill the Black Fungus.
Now, I know the best way to get it is to finish off the Black Fungus with a finishing move, especially with critical hit and I usually kill the Black Fungus with either the last hit of my combo, with Critical Plus equipped or the last hit in the Arcanium/Ragnarok limit. But they never yield Mystery Goo, when there's supposed to be a 100% drop rate! Something's wrong... Can you recommend any "finishing moves" that would get me Mystery Goo?
