Is changing headgaskets in Subaru legacy difficult?
I understand that the headgaskets in Cadillac Devilles and Sevilles that have North Star engines are very difficult to change because the headgaskets are unreachable do to the firewall and along with stripping and rethreading new screws in the aluminum block.... But I'm thinking of purchasing a subaru AWD legacy outback.... ARE THESE vehicles hard to change headgaskets ? and would you have to rethread the screws in these ????????
The non turbocharged models are actually really easy. No need to remove the engine, just undo the mounts and jack up the engine an inch and heads will come right off. It's the turbocharged engines that are a nightmare.
