can you use a male connector on a motherboard?
the vga connector on my computer is gone and i wanted to use the other connector that is the reverse of it is this possible? i know you can buy connectors to put into that slot but i want to use it as a vga connector. So how would i go about doing this
You'll find this reverse connector has two rows of pins (top is 5 pins, bottom is 4 pins). This means it's a serial port connector and cannot be used for video. VGA connectors have three rows of 5 pins (total of 15 pins).
Your best bet would be to either get the damaged VGA plug repaired, or get a video card installed inside the PC. First though see if there is a DVI or HDMI socket on the PC, these are an alternative video connection and can be used with an adapter or different monitor/monitor cable.
