What breed of dog will be a great friend for my jack russell terrier?
i currently have a great 3.5 year old jack. i rescued him when he was only a few months old and he has been the best dog since.
Being the dog that he is ( ever so playful) i am considering rescuing another dog so he can have a friend and they can play together whenever they want
I'm looking for a dog a similar size ( small to mid size) who is equally playful and hyper ( no lap dogs who just sit there all day)
any ideas?
Yeah it's great for dogs to have a companion. Is he dominant, submissive or neutral? Just make sure not to get a really dominant dog (they will be able to tell if it is from the time they've spent with it at the shelter)... just go in there and ask for a small dog, around the age of your dog who is playful, friendly and submissive or gets along fine with other dogs and they should be fine together.
