Affordable GPS system for college student?
So im about to graduate high school and one of the things i want to buy before i go to college is a portable GPS system.
I have an add from Dell where they advertise two GPS systems for $159 and this is really about the price range im looking for, something under 200 would be amazing, but i want it to work well too!
so there is a Pharos Drive 150 (which is cute and pink lol), and a Magellan Roadmate 1200 for this price...
anyone have experience with either of these? or any other affordable GPS systems?
neither! both of those gps units have a very small points of interest database. If your looking for bars, restaurants, or gathering places with your new friends at college. you want to make sure that YOUR gps has all these places.
Garmin leads the pack with a reliable database of 6 million points of interest, the roadmate with 1.3 million. and the pharos with 1.2 million. TomTom doesn't tell you how many points of interest, they just say millions!? come to find out it's like 3 million.
