Is GPS/Maps in handsets chargeable?
Almost all of the new smartphones in the market come with either GPS support or ability to get directions using services such as Ovi Maps or Google Maps. My question is...is this chargeable? I mean do i have to pay money every time i check a direction from one place to another or use my handset as a navigation tool? What about Sat Navs used in vehicles? Do they also come up with "monthly plans"?
Everytime I use my navigation (the pre installed one) its always been free. I have never been charged and nor does it take and MBs.
I think it runs by satellite or airwaves
