Why my GPS stopped charging while it was connected to the car?
Hi,
Everything was fine. However, suddenly I got "low battery" error and the GPS turned off. It happened while it was connected to the car (cigarette). Several hours later, it started charging.
I need it tomorrow and I don't want this problem to reoccur. Can anyone please help me?
The car socket is not used for cigarettes. The problem was while I drove the car. How can I know if there is a problem with the fuse in the adapter? Can it sometimes work and sometimes not work with a fuse problem? In case the fuse is the problem, where can I buy a new fuse?

The question I have for you is - does someone use the cigarette lighter to actually light a cigarette? If so, the connections could be bad and may need cleaning. Also, most cigarette lighter adapters have an indicator light to signify when it is receiving power. Make sure that it is lit when you plug it into the lighter socket. Another thing to note is that some sockets are powered only when the key is on. With vehicles like that, the GPS will not charge when the car is parked and switched off. I would also check the fuse in the adapter. I have seen some that look good but have a hairline crack in them that causes intermittent problems. If I think of more possibilities I'll add to this.
