Car Battery Adapter?
Does anyone know if a product exists that will allow an electrical device to keep running when plugged into the cigarette lighter plug when the key is removed from the ignition? When I turn the car off and take the key out of the ignition, my GPS goes off - I would like to have it on until I unplug it. Maybe a battery/car adapter combo?

The best way to over come this is to 'hardwire' via fused cable to the battery, these are cheap from car spares shops and place this through a switch on the dash board, i suppose from a scrap yard, for a few quid, that way, it will be live all the time unless you switch it off, but watch out for the current drain and install a correctly rated fuse.
it should cost for then about £10, and a hour or so of you time.
